We’ve been eating here regularly for the last 2+ years. Service and food are excellent. Prices are are on par with both, and reasonable.
Perfect spot for our anniversary dinner. The dining room was a little too well lit for our taste, but the bar seating is just perfect and dimly lit!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night! From the salads and French onion soup, to the prime rib and creme brule, everything was superb. In addition, the selection of beer, wine and bourbon was impressive. Morgan's attention to detail and personable service completed this fine dining experience.

This is by far one of the best places to eat in Sanford. We've lived here for 5 years in Sanford and will continue to be life long customers. Always had the most wonderful service and customer service. Portions are amazing, service is amazing.
Our waitress Erica was fantastic . She was very attentive, peronable and just a joy to talk with and she went out of her way to make our visit the best it could be.

The rare grilled Ahi Tuna was so fresh and delicious! Their crab dip is great too. Chris, our server, also did a great job!

Pricey, but delicious! The bangn shrimp and crab cakes were phenomenal. Nice modern setup. Feels private. Clean. Subdued lighting. Great place for date night. Saw/ heard No kids. Pleasant staff. Waiter wore a mask, which makes it a bit less friendly, but he was nice.
This was my first time here at the local restaurant. The service was phenomenal. I loved the bar-lounge area. It reminded me of a late 80’s-90’s bar. I had a lemon drop martini, which was too sweet for my liking. A double shot of tequila worked best. Additionally, the steak lacked a bit of seasoning. Dinner includes ribeye steak, medium well with asparagus, a cowboy steak, loaded baked potato, and a double shot of whiskey.
We love your restaurant. Most times we're seated in the bar area which is too dark and makes it difficult to read the menu and really can't see well enough to eat. That's the only reason for a 4 star rating.
Our first visit. I loved, absolutely loved the vibe, the owners wife is such a kind soul. However, my rating is lacking due to 2 mistakes. Wrong wine delivered and wrong side on my food order. Otherwise this would've been a 5. It's a must go to. Ambience is excellent, a treat for sure.

Came here for a fun night out with my spouse. We enjoyed the service and felt very at home. There are a lot of options on the menu. She really enjoyed her steak and she's picky about those. There is a cozy lounge area in the back, but you sort of have to know its there ahead of time because its tucked just around a corner from the entrance. Definitely want to eat in that section when we come back again.
I would say that a fifty dollar steak should come with a side salad that is not an extra $6.95. You get one side with the fifty dollar entree. It felt a little bit like highway robbery when everything else was nice.

De-Lish !!!! Sooooooo good! Highly recommend, steak was so tender and juicy! Fried green beans are a new favorite for my family! Will be back soon!!
I ate steaks at The Angus Barn and The Flame this week. Hands down…. The Flame wins.

It's always good. Tonight Kathy was so accommodating. The food and service was really good. We are lucky to have local steakhouse like this in Sanford
My wife and myself have been dining here for over 6 years, at least once a week. Usually when you dine at a certain place as long as we have, you’re sure to have a bad experience at some point. Well, let me tell you, we’ve NEVER EVER had a bad experience here. The food, atmosphere, wait staff, and the owners are all second to none!!!! We’ve dined in places all over the world, and never EVER had food as good as The Flame. It really disappoints me to see the bad reviews on here, as i can tell you, they’re simply not true.

Love the lounge and bar area. Very romantic and the service is great! Kathy at the front desk was very professional and she was so helpful. The pear spinach salad was delicious.
